Let all hear!

BGGTS Partnered with SAHI, an 11 years old Indian NGO, in an initiative to bring alive the sounds of the world to hearing impaired children as a part of its CSR activity. These children belong to less privileged sections of the society, hailing mostly from rural areas. They did not have access to modern medical treatment or could not have afforded effective treatment options.

SAHI strives to help underprivileged children with hearing impairment. It organizes screening camps in the rural areas on periodic basis for children under 15 years with hearing problems. Patients requiring Micro-ear surgeries are invited to Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad on scheduled dates, where surgeries are performed by the ENT team in the modern and state-of- the- art environment of the hospital at absolutely no cost to the patient.

BGGTS association with SAHI was from 2015 and since then, BGGTS had sponsored to a total of INR 3 Crores for about 40 underprivileged children with CI Surgeries & Machine upgradations till date. In the FY 2018-19, BGGTS had sponsored 13 CI Surgeries & Machine upgradations successfully by contributing an approximate amount of INR 96 Lakhs to SAHI (3 Kids in Phase-I, 7 Kids in Phase-II and 3 Kids in Phase III). BGGTS had supported SAHI with CI Surgeries for seven kids as well in FY 2019-20 costing INR 52.5 Lakhs. This gesture of help from BGGTS has enabled these children to overcome their hearing impairment, which in turn would, transform their lives, towards a fulfilling future.

Parents of beneficiaries and SAHI Management thanked BGGTS CSR Committee for their support. This was another philanthropic activity carried out by BGGTS as a part of its CSR initiatives which upheld its vision of Reach – Impact – Sustain, thereby making a difference in the society.
